Unacceptable Vehicle List
“Artisan and Business Use”Levels
Artisan use applies to vehicles used by skilled tradespeople (like plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.) to carry tools, equipment, or materials to job sites.

Driven to and from multiple job sites during the day.

Typically used by the owner.

Not used for delivering goods or carrying passengers for hire.

Often returns to a home or main base each night.

Tools or equipment are usually kept in the vehicle.

A plumber driving a van with tools to different client homes.

A roofer transporting materials and ladders to job sites.
Business Use

Driven by the policyholder for business-related tasks.

Includes travel to multiple business locations in a day.

No carrying of heavy equipment or tools regularly (that would be artisan or commercial).

Often used by sales reps, consultants, realtors, or professionals who use their car to go to different offices or meetings.
